I’m Jennifer Simpson, the heart and soul behind this delicious venture. As the sole founding member of Nancy’s Fancies, I embarked on this journey in 2021 with a passion for baking that runs deep in my veins. Nestled in the quaint, historic town of Cahir in Co. Tipperary, I’ve been navigating the joys and challenges of growing my business, relishing every step of the way.
Baking isn’t simply a skill I acquired; it’s a cherished heritage that has been passed down through the generations of my family. My adored grandmother, Nancy, illuminated my path, imparting the secrets of crafting delicious treats infused with natural, irresistible flavours.
My journey in the world of baking began in my childhood, where I spent countless hours alongside my grandmother in her bustling kitchen. From assisting with the baking process to witnessing her manage her own bakery business, selling her creations to local shops, every moment was a lesson in passion and dedication.
As the years went by, my love for baking blossomed, evolving from a mere hobby into a profound passion. By the time I reached my teenage years, I found myself joyfully baking cakes to commemorate the birthdays of friends and family. Nancy, with her gentle guidance and discerning eye, instilled in me the fundamental skills of the craft, always there to offer constructive criticism and encouragement.
For me, baking became more than just a pastime; it became my sanctuary – a place where I could escape from the pressures of reality and immerse myself in the joy of creation. I owe my passion for baking to Nancy, and for that, I am eternally grateful.
